Mega Block Train Set with Peppa Pig – #36

Back home this week and we had the Mega Blocks out again. This time is was a massive forest of mega block toy towers and ramps. The bends were a little tricky and we had the engines going round at a really good speed — although we did have a couple of falls! But our trains are hardy — especially our little green train so no harm done. Keira insisted that Peppa Pig was included so she has pride of place on the shelves! We think our mega block train set was a huge success!

Toy Train Set in Australian Bush – #35

Our last outback train set was set around a rocky mound and our wooden toy train set was right at home. Hayden and Keira had fun setting up and then seeing the little engines zipping around the track. Indeed Hayden declared he was the security guard and that if there were any issues he would deal with them. Sounded good to us!

Rocky Railway Set – #34

Keira and her cousin Hayden decided where this track would be build and they chose on top of the rocks. It was a bit of a challenge and our little toy trains had a few spills trying to make it around the bends but it was fun scrambling over the rocks and finding ways to prop the train tracks up. This is not a railway set for the fait hearted!

Bush Train bridge crossing fun – #33

Staying with Granny and Grandpa – we are out in the Australian bush – so this weeks toy train track is over a bush bridge crossing in the garden. It’s a smaller track but lots of fun to be outdoors with our toy train sets. Our little Brio engine chugged over the bridge with a little help from Keira and Hayden. Our little ikea train sets have certainly seen a lot of different locations now!

Into the Potty – Mega Bloks Mayhem – #31

So I realised I was getting far to highbrow with our train tracks when Keira announced that the train running into the dolls potty was the most “awesome” train track we had ever done. Lesson learned — potty humour is always funny! This was our first track using lots of Mega Bloks and we decided we have more exploring to do with these.

The cubby house – #28

Can we wind the track up over the step and through the cubby house door, the window and then back? Well that was what we asked ourselves and the only way to find out was to give it a try. We even had a little bit of fun with a GoPro on one of the engines – a different perspective from down on the IKEA track. We loved Keira’s expression as it came round the bend . Our IKEA toys were given a serious test with this track.

Oh and yes Keira has a rainbow on her forehead – she got that at a birthday party at Kinder – very cool!
